Default 1sick da\s body work, paint lipkit, and build thread of 09

Hey Got some pictures of first day of body work.
dennis dohcteg is doing all the work.

Im putting my lipkit on wing west rs rear bumper cover, mugen side replica, and type r front, repainting bumpers front and back, repainting lipkit due to nicks and scratches from storage and rock chips on bumpers. I had a little bit of surface rust from driving the 1 winter on 1.4 panel so fixing that, the jdm thin side molding that came from japan came dented so fixing that.

Im repainting hatch, maybe door jams if they need to be, rewiring jdm headlights and s2000 side markers.
bride seats install, install new oem plush carpet. nrg quick release, short hub and a personal steerin wheel black and yellow. An to finish interior off some mugen pedals. Then im rebuilding the suspension with alot of goodies. So here some updating pics of the startup. thanks dennis for the pics.

No ive owned the car for 5 years now,First 2 years i drove the car stock ftl. had it painted 2 year ago, but i had some rock chips, and ---- from driving in the winter which ill never do again so im repainting it has to be fresh homie. I want my car to be mint no half assed bs. So thats 2 times the car has been painted GOT TO PAY TO PLAY. Im finally putting lipkit on, last year i didnt really do much the year b4 last is when i had car painted the sti blue. I usually spend a few thousand a year and get some goodies.

This year im spending more I want to finish interior and suspension and body more or less this year. Ive done everything to this car nothing is being done half assed you can ask dennis yourself he knows how ---- i am about how i want the car to look. I got a full exhaust 2.5 for example, im tired of it, that my 2nd exhaust setup now im going with a hks hi power.

When its done paint and lipkit on, it should be one of the cleanest das around considering body work im atleast in the 5000 range with all the work ive had done.

well progress as of yesterday was side skirts sanded (still have to fix 2 chips on them before any primer touches them, front bumper had alot of stone chips so all those were feathered out and primed with a high build primer, the lip had tiny scuff from storage sanded it all up and primed the spot feathered aswell as installed lip to front bumper.

will be working out it today after work so last nights progress pics will be posted with todays pics. also depends when brett gets the pics to post up lol.

dial-up FTL.

updated pics, looking good dennis is doin a great job, and he an awsome guy to deal with, he will be doing my wire tuck and shave in the bay next season. The floor has to be cut out alot of it is rusted, So time to kick the ---- out of the rust and have a rust free da, which is hard to believe.

To all the da owners to keep a old car like this in rust free good condition its going to take atleast 3 to 4 000, im at over 5000 in body work from this year and last year. I should of got a less rusted shell, but come on these car are 20 years old what do you expect. If you want a car this old you got to be willing to pay. Now the shell is in great condition. I got the wings west rs rear lip now as you can see, i had the mugen replica but im selling it. I cant wait until its all done, should look good.

New oem plush carpet comes in this week or next, and my bride seats will be in so i just need a few more things for this year to get interior far as i want, next year im going to be buying a headliner thats all cf off stockinteriors.com would look awsome. keep updating as much as i can. ..

wing west rs rear bumper cover, wing west is out of business for awhile so i got lucky as hell and picked the rear and wing west rs sides off a guy on g2ic.com poly eurothayne so works out alot. and the type r front lip. ill eventually in future buy a jdp cf lip but it not practical rite now with the roads being brutal in niagara. ii barely drive the car so it stays in good shape. its more a weekend/cruise car and eventually once its built and done will be a semi track car.

here newest pics taken at nite with everything put together dennis is awosme, and glad i met him he become one of my friends as well he a straight down to earth car guy. he will be painting my bay when i do that.
