Perhaps there are more 3rd gens than 2nd gens because A) Most 2nd gens are in junkyards/on their way and B) The fact that the 3rd gen had a run of 8 years barely changing its asthetics and is quite popular among the general public. Do the math, they kinda had to produce a shitload of 3rd Gens for a good reason....

the DA elitests are lame too. i never really sided with anyone. i'm not the one posting pics nor joining in the arguement of which chassis is better so my panties aren't in a bunch

let's be realistic here guys. I highly doubt that you dc guys have to deal with Problems and issues like us fellow da members. Our cars are much older, and to get our cars running mint, and looking mint is MUCH MUCh difficult then any of you dc guys. I mean I just got my car back, the whole body was restored due to so much rust. There was tons and tons of work involved. Which is very frusturating when you remove parts and nuts and bolts are seized. Just ask dave he replaced like every bolt and nut he worked on.

Point is to have a da and to make it nice and clean you have to spend way more MONEY, and way more time on fixing things, as well keeping it clean and running in good working order. Its take's a true car enthuiast to breathe new life in a old "JUNK" car. That was what my car used to be a piece of junk, the shell should of been scrapped but i got everything fixed and restored. Now I got fresh paint. If i got a dc i wouldn't have to deal with so many issues and problems i have dealt with. I went through 3 alternators already those are 200 a piece. So figure it out if i didnt dump alot of money into my car to fix it and make it run and drive better due to old oem parts breaking. Think on how nice my dc would be with nearly as much OEm parts breaking. It would be stupid.

o yea as well 4300 bucks for body work and paint i could of just put that into a jdm front end oem itr sides rear lip red and clear tails, hids, and full paint job. There is 1 example.

You make it sound like DC's are lightyears newer, you mean to tell me some members of this board who have older DC's dont go through the same headaches as you do? Rust and repairs arent just limited to your cars. My car is a 99, its 9 years old and you think I didnt have to go through my share of repairs and problems?

bullshit. my 95 integra has 219k on it and has rust holes under the rocker panel covers and bondo over the quarter panels. the quarters need to be replaced and the car painted again. my front lca bushings are shot, tie rod end need to be replaced along with many other parts on the chassis. i've had my fair share of seized and broken bolts and will have many more and i continue to work on the car. my ac compressor is gone, so i cut the belt. my thermostat is newer, but i'm having temperature problems as the car never gets warm. my abs modulator crapped out years ago. i need to take the head off the car soon for a valvejob as i'm worried about burning a valve. in the past 5000km, i've changed axles, input shaft bearing and seals on the tranny, brake master cylinder, calipers, o2 sensor, cat and numerous other little things and am very far from the point where i can afford or justify to build up the engine....

i can go on and on about why my car is such a piece of ----. my car is one of these junk cars you are speaking of. if it wasn't my first car and i wasn't so far into it already i would have ditched it years ago...

you need to spend just as much money fixing a da as a dc as they are both old hondas.
