HADA Karting - January 20 - $5 off
 

Hey everybody!!!

Hope everyone had a fun filled X-mas and New Years, but more importantly...

It's time to burn off all the extra calories from all the turkey, stuffing and booze from the holiday's! What a better way to do so then by ...... KARTING!

The next HADA Winter Karting Series event is just around the corner on Sunday January 20th!!!

We've had some very good and tight battles the last 2 events! Everyone's getting faster and finding better lines and ways to pass!

Once again there will be hardware to be won. As well as, more HADA swag to be raffled off!!

Remaining karting series events are:
Event #4; Sunday February 17th
Event #5; Sunday March 16th

Registration opens at 8:00am and closes at 8:25am
Please show up early so we can get all the registration out of the way.
Driver's meeting is at 8:30 am sharp in the VIP Lounge.

Event Structure
For this event each driver will have 2, 18 lap qualifier's and 1, 18 lap main event!! This way everyone will have time during the qualifier's to experiment with different lines and driving technique to see how to get faster!

Qualifying position for the main will be based on your single fastest lap, over the 2 qualifying sessions.

Overall finishing place for the event will be based solely on the main event!!

There will be a maximum of 10 karts on the track at a time. The top 10 HADA members will earn points towards a series ending championship.

Cost
Cost is $65.00 total (tax included) for HADA members
$75.00 (tax included) for NON-HADA members
Minus $5 for TI members so $70

Directions;
From Hwy 401:
North on Allen Expressway to Sheppard Ave. West. Turn left (west) and proceed four lights to John Drury Drive, turning left once more. Turn left on Carl Hall Road and follow around to 75 Carl Hall Rd. We are located in the second building of the industrial complex.

From Keele Street:
Turn east on Sheppard Ave. West and proceed to next lights. Turn right (south) on John Drury Drive and take this to Carl Hall Road, at which point you will turn left and follow to our entrance. We are located in the second building of the 75 Carl Hall Road industrial complex.

Driver's Championship Title
Points will be given to the top 10 HADA members for their OVERALL finishing position and for their fastest lap time for this event; (points are awarded for fastest lap time because there will be no qualifying to give points to)

Points will be awarded (overall finish + qualifying position) to the top 10 HADA members in the following fashion;

Qualifying;
1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 9 points
3rd place = 8 points
4th place = 7 points
5th place = 6 points
6th place = 5 points
7th place = 4 points
8th place = 3 points
9th place = 2 points
10th place = 1 points

Finishing Position
1st place = 20 points
2nd place = 18 points
3rd place = 16 points
4th place = 14 points
5th place = 12 points
6th place = 10 points
7th place = 8 points
8th place = 6 points
9th place = 4 points
10th place = 2 points

Overall series champion will be based on the best 4 out of 5 events!

NO maximum number or participants!

As always, we've booked a VIP room so everyone will have somewhere safe to leave all their belongings as it will be LOCKED while we're out racing. We will be using the VIP room for the driver's meeting before we hit the track, and after wards for the trophy presentation for our podium finishers.

Post-event breakfast
We'd like to invite everyone to come hangout after wards, and join us for some breakfast at the Downsview Diner, which is south on Keele St. on the east side a few block down from GP. Usually a bunch of us will go down to get a bite to eat, talk some smack and hangout for a while! It's fun times and a nice way to wind down from karting. Oh btw it's an OLD SCHOOL diner and they take Ca$H only! Just so you all know! (we found that out the hard way last time.... DOH)
