Beneficial Meet suggestion
 

Hey guys, I dont live in Toronto to be able to organize this the best, but I did one for the london auto club down here. Im thinking that the Toronto and area members should organize a blood donation meet (got the idea from the Toronto Mazda 3 Club) at one of the clinics down there. This will be very beneficial for everyone.

1) Giving back to the community

2) Building a better rep for Toronto Integras

3) Showing everybody that tuners aren't all necessarily hooligans (I use this word in all seriousness)

4) People from the community and it might even ------ to the police and the government to show that all people with done up cars aren't selfish, or wreckless, but are all caring and good citizens.

5) There is a huge blood shortage in the province right now, and we can contribute to this problem and help save some lives. If you knew or know someone that needs/needed blood, then I guarantee you would know how many others feel about this subject.

6) I would like to thank everyone for reading this post and possibly contributing to this worthwhile cause.

If anyone is willing to arrange this and make this happen, please post here so that everyone can know about time and location.

Nawaaz thats a really good idea! I personally cant have my blood taken, I get dizzy and nauseas. But still, Im sure there is alot of capable T.I. members in that area that should help. I wish I could man, cause I would be there.

great idea i just actually gave blood a month ago so i wouldn't be able to do it anytime soon but props for a great idea!!! finally a thread worth reading!!!

Id be up for it, but I got denied a while ago for being born in Germany.. supposedly its because they dont have records of the meat products and stuff. kinda weird. I'd be up to go and see if I could do it, I would.

I agree, This would be a good way to get some much needed POSITIVE exposure.

we jsut need someone willing to set it up, I would if I lived in Toronto, but its kind of hard since I live in London.

I'm down. my blood type is the universal donor one. O positive i think. ppl of any type can use mine.

I can help organize the event starting next month as I am really tight on schedule for this whole month!

FYI, For London, so far we have 10 ppl showing up

when you call, tell them you want to register a group to donate, and list it under Toronto Integras.

I don't think that I have enough blood in my system in order for me to donate. But, I can carry some water bottles for the donors or drive a couple of people if they feel they won't be able to drive back etc.

I wouldn't mind helping out as im O as well. In my opinion people with O should help out even more as they can save so many more lives. Everyone just make sure you will be ok to drive back afterwards as I know some people who smaller bodyweight/thinner blood will definitely feel weaker afterwards.

You don't gotta thank me man... I'm pretty sure anyone on this site is willing to help as long as they have time on their hands... Like as for me, I have no time till next month as I stated before.

Therefore, I will start another thread next month and we will get an exact figure of how many people are willing to go.

At the same time, we will get everyone's opinion on what would be a good day or the best day for the majority of them.

And then we'll work from there! How does that sound?

Im gonna go ahead and bump this... someone start it.. I will write to the Toronto Sun if there is a good turnout :P
