Wiper switch!!!!!!

Anyone on here know how the switch for the wipers is wired??? I know i can get it off the net, but I need someone to fix mine for me. My wipers dont work at all. the motor works, i tested it with positive and negative wires, my hatch wiper works, therefore its not the fuse, the switch is fucked i think the alarm guy may have miswired it but i dont know how. probably took the wrong power wire. plz help thanks.

you need to look at awiring diagram for it on shop key its a software program and you can use it for free at partsource then just find the colours and trace your wiring

man i ------ hate electrical. thats one thing i dont want to get involved with. my car's had 2 electrical problems in the past and since the last one i kinda gave up on doing it myself.

By the way i have a diagram... i just dont want to screw up. I dont have a circuit tester either.

If you don't want to go through all that electrical work, then grab the whole wiper assembly (motor, wiring, switches etc.) from someone that's parting out a DA and replace all the parts.

lol i would but i just wanna confirm that it wasnt miswired into my alarm for power or soemthing. its pretty messy with all the relays ask thusee. previous owner did a hell of a job..

you have a multimeter? you can test the power going to the switch and coming out of it and norrow it down to make sure its not the switch and know which feed is shorted to ground or open circuited or whatever. Or test the resistance of either wire if its infinate its open somewhere or check continuity of the each wire. Electrical problems are never fun and there time consuming you just have to get in there with the diagram and mutimeter and start rulling ---- out. Or temporaroly run swithced power to the wiper motor so you can toggle it from inside the car but without the risistors in the wiper switch i'm prety sure you will only have one speed probably full.

might be something internal that could be broken?

im 99% sure its the wiring for the switch, we changed the linkages and motor a few months back me and thusee. the alarm guy fucked the switch up somehow im pretty sure. cause the wiring under my steering coloum was ------ intertwined with my old alarm from previous owner. i didnt know about it till the guy was installing me a new one. he may have used the power wire onto the alarm and left the switch with nothing. im gonna check tomorrow night i dotn got time or light today.

Bvan just get a DC ... lol jksss. Once again your best option is picking up the whole assembly from someone that's parting out their DA and just replace all of them if you're not too sure about what's working and what's not.

i install alarms.. i could see that he wired you parking light wire into you wiper maybe.. but when you get power for an alarm you go to igntion harness cuz you need the current. when you lock and unlock you car does the parking light flash..i will look at work today i am pretty sure i have a wiring diagram for that.

xxBvanxxx Nov 20, 2008 07:48 AM

my parking lights dont flash. but its possibly cause the bulbs are blown lol.

Kloos_teg Nov 21, 2008 05:28 AM

lol... well i would say i would have someone go over all the wiring.. i would do it but i am a lil far away lol..next day i have off is tues.. if you are still haven problems i could probly help da out lol and make the drive there...just keep me posted..

xxBvanxxx Nov 21, 2008 09:59 AM
