i dont know if it's true or not, but if you get into an accident, and the insurance adjuster see's the jdm rebar, you'll be in big trouble.

i recently passed my safety with my jdm front end, so yea, it will pass.

I had no rebar at one point. Got in an accident and the adjuster was cool about it. But if he's not cool with the shop you're at, not having one can void your insurance.

It should pass.... the re-bar would be the only tech issue... but I have seen the swap done using the usdm re-bar.. I re-used mine.... untill I wanted to get an intercooler in there too... then it got tossed.... either way... most mechanics arn't going to think "hmmm better check the re-bar" so you'll prob just slip through the cracks...
