will 17" rims fit on my integra 97?
or will my tires rub?
i want to drop my car probably around a good 1.7" front and rears. and also want to get 17" rims on my teggy but is it gonna rub if i drop it that low and put 17's on?..
and when i'm turning will it rub?

ginxer86 Mar 20, 2008 07:28 PM

I run 17's nice ride, but you can't go to low with them.. I am getting 16's

DreadKnight Mar 20, 2008 09:01 PM

Currently have 17's on stock suspension. Teg looks like a 4x4 but I will be lowering it a bit this spring. It does rub when I turn the wheel a lot.

I know its a DA but it cant be that much different then yours. Im running 17's without a problem and my car is pretty low. It tucks a bit in the rear but doesnt rub.
Sorry about the pic size its all I have

wow look at that dc rice box

Royboy Mar 21, 2008 08:00 AM

Your rubbing with your 17's on stock suspension?? you must have really wide tires, or a really bad offset on your wheels. I used to have 18's on my lowered integra and no rubbage at all. Proper tires and proper offset and you should have no problems with 17's

LOL its clearly a cavy!! I posted up some pics of it last year with my ride.. Ugly but fast. Will be out in the spring with a northstar v8 5speed. I will post up pics of progress/completion when the time comes

ginxer86 Mar 21, 2008 12:50 PM

so what would the proper offset be?

Buff4Prez Yo Mar 21, 2008 01:21 PM

17's will rub on a dc but won't rub on a da. they have bigger/deeper wheel wells

LOL i remember when mine was not lowered with 17's on it. I have a nice drop on it now. Wheels rub depending on your drop. But it's just plastic so who cares.

integra_101 Mar 25, 2008 12:11 PM

you cant lower much on those 17s. It will rub.

slvr_dc2 Mar 25, 2008 01:11 PM

I've got 17's on stock suspension and I have no problems with rubbing. I'm also planning to lower the car a bit..Just not sure what I want to lower it to. Then I'll consider getting 16's as well if it becomes a problem...

oths88 Mar 27, 2008 05:19 PM

i got 17 but i have monster tires they rub like a bitch be careful when u get tires cause low pros shouldnt rub

elusive80 Mar 31, 2008 04:19 PM

Use 1010tires.com technical specs

go read up on Offset, tread size/width

and also read up on tire comparison or use their calculator it's free.

You should be ok with 205/40/17 for sure

but it just depends on the width of the tire and especially the offset... probably 38+/- can't remember you'd better check :X

ls/vtec Mar 31, 2008 05:34 PM

17's are to big for an integra unless your a drug dealer

Nawaaz Mar 31, 2008 05:39 PM

^lol... +1, IMO 17's belong nowhere near an Integra.
