yea... I've been in so many lowered vehicles... and never have I heard a squealing sound because of that... I could be wrong... but its probably not because hes lowered.

smith_customs 12-27-2007 09:26 AM

my cars lowered on h & r .. when i have my el rims on they dont make the noise it sounds like a bad belt but ever sinse i put on my winter it makes that awful noise

slvr_dc2 12-27-2007 01:24 PM

This might sound stupid, but do you have new winter tires installed? Especially in non-snowy conditions, my car made a wierd squeeling sound when i accelerated to. Turns out, it was the new tires needing to get worked into a bit. Does the noise get worst when you are turning? I noticed it at slower speeds to...Then again, i might not even be in the ballpark with this. But my car is fine now...

No wonder this world is going to hell.

smith_customs 12-27-2007 08:03 PM

no there used winter they have 7/32nds on the front and 3/32nds on the rear as i get faster the noise will dissapear and no when i turn it does nt make any noise

slvr_dc2 12-28-2007 07:47 AM

^^Yea, it was just an idea...and you said ball joints and tie rods were changed...I find that wierd...I'm not sure if anyone has any other suggestions.

But if i were you, i'd get it checked out..better safe than sorry...Last thing you want is a small squealing sound to cost you a grand to fix, you know?

i dont think ive ever heard dat kinda noise ever ... but like slvr dc2 said get it check out man

Kraz13 12-28-2007 04:41 PM

You should take it to canadian tire...they are real pros there LOL

3NE 2NR 12-28-2007 04:50 PM

YAH... like KRAZ !!!!

Buff4Prez Yo 12-28-2007 05:55 PM

did you get an alignment after you did the tie rods? that squealing might be the tires cuz your toe might be way out

smith_customs 12-28-2007 08:02 PM

i did get an alignment
but i think because my car is lowered on h &rs i dont have a camber kit on the front so the tire is slanted so that might be the reason

Buff4Prez Yo 12-28-2007 09:02 PM

toe out has more of an effect on the tires than negative Camber

Nawaaz 12-28-2007 09:05 PM

is it just H&Rs on stock springs.. or is it slammed with adjustable shocks... if its just the H&Rs then i dont think you would need a camber kit.

smith_customs 12-29-2007 04:25 PM

sorry i just have h and r springs on stock shocks
