wicked headlight restoration kit

hey guys

just used Meguiars headlight restoration kit and it work amazing. paid 19.99 for it at walmart. It took me about 10mins to do all 4 and fog lights. There is no sanding and the provid you with the polish, a towel and polisher that fit onto your drill. stuffs the ----.
try it out and let me know what you think

cheers

Thanks for letting us know.

I wanna do my headlights but one of mine has two scratches and I think it will require a wetsand.

I've used the "plastix" (Product in the kit) before and it worked so well. Only thing it doesnt do is remove scratches or clear coat. Otherwise good product.

Good to know!.

I used a similar kit, but it did involve wetsanding. The headlights turned out amaaaaaaazing.

Depends on how deeply they're pitted. I have a couple methods I use for cleaning them up to be fresh.

AcuratePaul 08-27-2010 03:55 PM

Well the Dave you gotta hook me up with your technic :yeah:

Neon_Dave 08-27-2010 04:37 PM

Alright, will come to your place and do them in exchange for some suspension bolts. What do you say?

AcuratePaul 08-27-2010 04:49 PM

Sounds like a good idea but I dunno if I have any extra suspension bolts but you are more then welcome to look into my bag of extra bolts and stuff lol maybe you can find something in there that will help you out.

Neon_Dave 08-28-2010 01:11 PM

Ok cool man ill let you know what the plan is for suspension soon. How soon do you need it done?

I usually just use sand paper..done it on many cars..800 to 1000 to 1500 to 2000 to 2000 wetsand..then polish by hand. comes out great every time, and the best part is, all together the stuff costs you about $20, and you can use it many many times. Especially with our tiny headlights on the tegs.

Vida 08-28-2010 11:56 PM

I got 2 bolts for the rear if you need any Dave

Neon_Dave 08-29-2010 12:06 AM

I need the ones that bolt the lower end of the strut to the LCA. just the one, really, but two would be better. Thanks!

I find it works best if you have the bumper off, to be able to get at every angle. Unless you're running a JDM front end in which case no worries. :yeah:

Neon_Dave 08-29-2010 09:45 PM
