SMOOTHE 01-05-2007 09:36 AM

Ask Big Hairy Gino, I think he had one on his car before.

JDM_civic 01-05-2007 09:44 AM

have you test fitted your lip yet? sometimes with the replicas in order to get it perfectly on "easily", you might have to take off your bumper?

Big Hairy Gino 01-05-2007 09:44 AM

^ hahahaha :finger:

I had a CF one, get it straight....it matches the advan sticker on my fender so people can see me changing lanes at night. DUH.

SMOOTHE 01-05-2007 10:00 AM

^I never knew you had one???

JDM-DC2-Teggy 01-05-2007 01:00 PM

if it doesnt fit properly dont force it, it will crack due to the fact that it is ABS Plastic. Take your bumper off and use a hair dryer to heat the lip n mold it to the bumper. GOOD LUCK!! :)

cfdc2 01-05-2007 03:32 PM

i kinda lined it up today..doen'st seem like it fits that well...i mgiht have to take off the bumper and heat it up to fit the lip. who has a mugen lip on a 94-97 integra...how many screws you use? and where?

Stephen R. 01-05-2007 03:33 PM

i have a mugen lip and its on a 94 integra......not hard to instal just work your way from one side to the other thats what i did also u may have to pull alittle because usually they are really snug.....you might want to heat it while pulling the corner to avoid the cracking ....but for these lips theres not a real big need to go through the hassle of taking off ur bumper....

cfdc2 01-05-2007 03:35 PM

how many screws did you use? how many on each side.and how many on the grill. do you have pics? think i can take alook at yoru car sometday

canttx 01-05-2007 04:55 PM

Stephen R. 01-05-2007 05:14 PM

Wings West copied the lip and the sides from Mugen.

5pecial_ed 01-07-2007 01:26 PM

so you mean the one that "Stephen R." has is a re plica mugen li? the real mugen style is the one "TWO SIX" has?

You're right Jeff, "style" was the correct word to use rather than "replica":yeah:

cfdc2 01-07-2007 04:01 PM

any body else have pics of the screws on the wheel well? and i notice thati my li pdoens't fit that flush..ppl say you have to use heat gun and heat it up and modify the bumper...do i just put my hadn behind the bumper and push it out?

Stephen R. 01-07-2007 10:03 PM

does that mean the mugen lip for integra is totally different from the mugen lip for civic? i'm confused guys

TwoSix 01-07-2007 11:17 PM

^yes the civic has a mugen lip, and the integra has a mugen lip...they are not the same shape or design.

some poeple really like the civic mugen lip so they made them fit integra bumpers. westwings made a knock off that was a lot cheaper than the real mugne lip kit.

5pecial_ed 01-07-2007 11:23 PM

oh ok..so the black lip up there is the acutal civic mugen lip design...and they made one for integras..cause everyone likes it...but the silver one is the REAL mugen lip design for integras...so wingswest made a lip kit for integras...that look just like the real mugen lip for integra but with a vent. right?

I can't believe people are still so confused about this topic...

All of these ABS Plastic lips are horrible replicas! The "Mugen" lips that are sold are all (poor) replicas of the Authentic 99-00 EK Mugen front lip

The ABS "Type R" lips are all replicas of Authentic 99-00 Civic Type R/SiR Front lips. They even make these "Type R" lips for Lexus IS300, Cavalier, etc. hahaha

The original Wings West Honda body kits were all copies and variations of authentic Mugen kits as well
