Wheel bearing
hey ppl just preparing to change my front driverside wheelbearing
where would you recommend that i buy the bearing? first i was hearing that it was pretty cheap but i been calling around and keep gearing like 90 bux and up i was thinking of just going to total jdm and grabbing a whole spindle for 80 plus that would also save me on getting the bearing pressed thanks guys |
i got mine from canadian tire and partsource they are about 90$ from both and theey are a bitch to do of you pay to get it pressed it will be maybe 40-50$? i pressed mine myself and there pretty difficult to do they have a huge snap ring which is a bitch to get off and tehn you have to press the hub out of the bearing and then the bearing out of the spindle and make a chinese puzzle on the press with the press blocks to be able to get them out and have a socket big enough to do it. I would say if you could get that spindle for 80$ do it but you don't know how much life is left on the bearing in that used spindle so you may run into this agian in a year or really whenever could be a month or 3 years. It's up to you i guess.

Only bearings worth a damn imo are Timkin or OEM.

Where can they be found, and what other products do they manufacture? |
picked up a whole spindle for 80 bux looked like it was in really good condition too no rust
good balljoint too and came with upper control arm and caliper lol gg |
thats cheap as ----. i hate you lol

i did my passenger bearing myself, got the bearing and tool-kit rental from canadian tire. Took me about 2 hours total, the hardest part was the snap ring (my snap ring tool wasn't big enough). You don't have to pay for the tool from canadian tire, they refund you the cost of it once you return it.
