Weird Electrical Problem

Hey Guys,

Man has it been a trying week!! I'm having a problem with what I thought many have been a battery initially, but now I'm not so sure.

I am having a strange electrical problem. I bought a new battery in August of 06 and used it for two months. I then stored the car and removed the battery and kept it in a warm area. I returned it to the car in April 07 and charged it back up prior to doing so. In the last week I have had great diificulty with the battery. It was fully charged a few days ago, and the car started and drove fine. I went the next day and the battery turned the car over but it was weak. By the third day, it was dead and wouldn't turn the car over. Now on each of those days. I drove it all over the city and it
never gave me a problem to start during that time, it only gives me this
problem, each morning when I go to start it after a prolonged period of
down time?

Any ideas... I can't drive anywhere, because I never know when it will go dead.:wtf: :headbang:

alternator maybe? is your charging system light on?

If it dies when the car is off for a long time, the battery is toast. Or it could be that your alarm/stereo/whatever is pulling too much current. Grab a multimeter and see how much is being drawn when the car is parked.

How/where exactly did you store the battery over the winter?

did u store your battery on concrete..........if u did, i bet your battery is messed.... a lot of people believe its a myth but im not so sure.......

No the alternator light doesn't come on, the charging system, should be fine. I draw a lot of current from my system so if it was bad, it should have shut off either mid drive or during the day when I was putting around, which it never did.

As far as storing the battery, it was indoors in plastic, off the ground and no concrete...

Dude, just contact Nate and get a new battery. 30-40 dollars fixes your problem.
