i say go for it.
The last boosted b20 i saw made quite impressive numbers. Its no different than boostin any other b-series engine.

yup except for the issues with the cylinders cracking on B20's due to there different design.

spawnliban Dec 4, 2006 03:00 PM

now is there anything i can do to prevent cylinders from cracking?

zman Dec 4, 2006 03:24 PM

man, thats a load of crap.
I've personally seen over 300whp and 270ft/lbs of torque on STOCK b20 sleeves and its still going strong.
If you're worried about the cylinder walls cracking then don't boost a b20. Hell if you're that worried about it, don't boost any engine.

boost rocks........ ;)

just get ready to spend a ---- load of cash....... :(

i would not worry about cylinders cracking. its poor engine managment tuning that will crack the cylinders. the B20 cylinders are slightly weaker than the B18's but if its properly tuned it will hold up very well.

+1 you must tune to get optimal performance and optimal useablilty from any motor, you wouldn't drive your car without any oil in it right so, any motor built with care and precision will do you well for many years to come, unless you drive like an idiot and crash it!?
