Tranny / clutch Issue

Hey guys, alright from the top. My syncro blew on my tranny for my 96 GS and so got it replaced with a B20 tranny with seemingly low kms for $650. but literally a day later driving back from school i saw some fluid leaking on the asphalt n thought id better get this home before some new ---- pops up!! on the way home my clutch started to lose power n couldnt shift out of the gear i was in and pressing the clutch didnt do anything for it just went in with no trouble n i guess did not disengage the gear. this happened in january and i finally started the car again today clutch had pressure and when i put it in reverse it grinds when shifting and clutch loses pressure. i checked under the steering for the Clutch master cylinder (CMC) for any leaks and doesnt seem to be any. the reservoir is full and motor seems to run fine. the gears shift fine when the car isnt on too smoother than when my syncro blew out

ive had many problems with this car and seems like every time i get it fixed with the guy i go to something else goes faulty *weird* but i dont question since i kinda know the guy.

so id really appreciate any insight you guys might have on this kinda wonky situation and if any of you have had this happen to you. ive posted for a replacement CMC and i can do it myself but dont want to go and buy anything untill i know whats is wrong and i dont wanna take it back to the mech i know because i know he'll just go ahead and fix it w.e the problem is and then be faced with another issue later

appreciate any help thanks guys

Re: Tranny / clutch Issue

ok so i flushed the clutch hydrolics using SurferX's guide from TI ---->

just wondering once the valve is tightened i pressed the clutch a couple times by hand but the pressure isnt returning so i pumped it and left it up (instead of pressed all the way down)

just wondering if this is the correct thing to do, any help is greatly appreciated

thx guys

this is just a guess, but you shoulda changed your clutch when you did the transmission.

Thx silver but I didn't have any extra $$ at the time and besides my clutch was gripping fine then so didn't think of it.

Sounds like your slave cylinder is leaking. the slave engages and disengages the clutch. the tranny will grind if the slave isn't fully disengaging the clutch.
