Which tire size to choose
Hey Guys,
I been asking plp and everyone is telling me different combinations so I have decided to come to the experts, you guys.....
I have 15" rims 15x7 with 205/50R15 and am rubbing abet. I am lower sitting on adjustable full coil overs. I don’t want to raise the car more than what it is right now.
Now I wanted to go with either
195/50R15 It would be an all season tire.
(The DA is only driven in summer)
Or
195/45R15 It would be a summer tire only.
Which one would you guys recommend and what do you have on the Ack if you’re on 15" rims
Thank you guys as always

How low is the car. Also, what is the offset of the rims. I had 205/50/15's on a 15x7+33 and it was low...pretty low in the front, the rear not so much because the quarter panels weren't rolled and I thought it would rub. I didn't rub. Maybe when I made turns on horrible bumpy roads but nothing noticeable. Maybe try a 195/50 ? 195/45 will make you lower to the ground as well, and you'll be feeling every crack on the road as well. Also some tire stretch on the rim I think. 50's is enough
I run 195/50 on my 16s. There more practical, my opinion. They ride smooth, hook up better, doesnt get stuck in sand. And you got a little extra rim protection.
But if your lowered alot. then go with 40 or 45s to elimenate some side wall. Lower profile tire

Thanks alot guys offset is 15" - 40mm
It's been lower on full adj coilovers and must me around 1.5" lower all around. The shop put them on but they never mention how much they dropped it. The rubbing happens when I go up/down my drive way and sometimes wile on the road. Think the 195/50 will do...
Anyone else with DA's ?

I could care less how low the car is. As long as it performs. And not just on track. Its gotta be able to take a speed bump without loosing a cat and it should be easy to put on a lift and your tires should last alot longer then 2mnths.
**update**
I Raised the ride abet and have no issues now. She drives much better & very little noise when going up the driveway. No more scrap do so decided to stick with the 205/50/15 I currently have. Also notice a noise from the back n it turn out to be the rear trailing bushings so changing that this weekend.
Thanks guy for your help.
