Techno R side skirts for DA input.
Hey guys,
Need some advise on my dilemma please. I bout a pair of side skids (Techno R) a few years ago and not i want to put them on the Ack. I had a body shop veteran guy tell me that i shouldn't put these on cause they are made of carbon fiber and that if i install them that they wont last long at all due to the small space in between the bottom of the door, he said that they will rub off when i close the door and if he adjusts the door hinges that i might have problems closing the door... Does anybody have these on there ack/DA ? And have they lasted ? He also said that they might crack if some hits them accident. I also know that the other option would be to find a set of EK's but not too sure if i want to go that route considering the fact that i would have to cut them and then have an opening on the side of the fender.... An never mind looking for Mugen skirts... they are super rare. Thank you guys. |
what do the techno R skirts look like? i have EK sides on my car. you gotta make an end plate for the front. mine are made of stainless steel.
if you're interested in a set of Mugen knock off sides i have a set of those too. |
yea that's what i was thinking of somehow making the plate to cover the whole. I honestly think the skirts i have are the Mugen knock offs cause they look exactly the same just not with the Mugen logo.
Did you put those on the Ack before ? what king of material are they made of ? Thanks. They look like these but in White.... http://www.carbodykits.com/images/T/...T2DTNR-004.jpg |
do they round off towards the back or do they stay square.

They stay square...
Check them out here... http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...1/100_5490.jpg I realy want to put them on but dont want to waste money and time if they are going to break with in months.... Do you have a pic of the side of your skirts were you put the end plate ? |

Those are the mugen replicas. they'll be fine if install them correctly and don't smack in to anything.
