Stumped

Okay so after changing my head gasket and all the stupid things that kept ------- up durning the whole process (don't use a torque wrench you don't trust) had to wait 2 weeks for 3 new cam shaft holder bolts. Still need one but mine is temp fixed by a weld ;).... Anyways so everything is hook up but it just won't crank it honestly feels like a ground... The cluster lights light up on the right side of it and on the left hand side they are very dim. So when I turn my key to start the car ZERO response. Then when I leave the key on the ON position it makes a buzzying sound from underneath the steering wheel. So ms and my dad came to the conclusion it was the main relay. We took it out was a bit brown and smelt burnt, anyways my dad replaced it today and still same ---- is happening and same sounds are being made. Now when I did my motor swap I kept my old wiring harness and therefore I have "extra" plugs not plugged in. I remeber having one extra forsure but for some reason I have two and for the life of me I can't remeber if I had two extra clips or one. I don't have the knock sensor hooked up and never did and it ran. The CEL light has been on since the swap. So what do you guys think can be making my car not even make a beep!?!?

Please share some light. Thanks.

Only things you need for your car to start are: starter power/ground, chasis grounds, all other sensors will make it run bad but car will start. So I guess tripple check all wires.

I have a weird feeling it might possibly be the starter...I gotta check sometime this week I'm tight on time now a days.
