Starting Up Issue

I have noticed that when I start my Integra in the morning, it takes a bit longer than usual, probably about 2 seconds. If I was recently driving and parked for an hour or so and come back then I will be able to start right away with no delay. What could be the problem, I have recently changed to spark plugs to see if this would solve the problem but it did not. Any input is appreciated.

P.S. I was thinking it could be the starter but the thing is it does not happen every time I try and start.

Your engine is still cold, and has been sitting for an ample amount of time. This is perfectly normal; your engine will always start much quicker when it has been thoroughly warmed.

If its taking an excessive amount of time, then check your battery's CCA.

Also as the car sits, it slowly lose fuel pressure in the lines.

When you turn the key 2 positions forward, the fuel pump will automotically prime for initial startup.
