sputters and weird idle

Ok so i bought a 96 LS (integra), when we got it it was FREGN mint nothing wrong with the drive at all. A little while later the distributor blew, and it broke down in the middle of the road. I towed it to my mechanic and he said its the distributor. He fixed the distributor and when i started to drive it home it was fine, half way through on the highway on 5th (its a standard BTW) when id press the gas, id hear a like... squeak or a tick tock and then fine. when i got on the off ramp, i came to a red light and in neutral my car was like slightly shaking (up and down feeling). when i was taking the free right i kicked it into 1st and when i gave it gas the whole car shuddered like i was mis shifting or something or felt like the exhaust was sputtering hardcore!!!! and same thing happened when i shifted to second. i took it to inner roads and did the same thing and the same result happened and the ODOmeter stopped working!! although i cant really recall if it was working from the time i took it out (was in a hurry). when i stopped at my house, i popped the hood and i could clearly hear the engine varying idle speeds, like higher and then lower and the higher and then lower but at random intervals. any help would be appreciated please i need the car to be working

oh and the engine light, maintainence req light and SRS light were on as well after the repair not before

can i also get a good reference to a good garage please lol my parents know this guy n they sent it to him n he goes "i tried my best i don't know what is going on!!!!! who says that"

i appreciate any help thanks

ok heres the weird thing, after the above i called the mech and hes like wait till it cools down n then drive it n i did that. when i picked up my brother from school yesterday, it worked fine no problems. but my dad took it out to work 1 hr ago and its broken down on the side of the road by square 1. WTH i wish i drove it to say what happened but i wouldnt be surprized if the sputtering was the culprit, my dad says it sputtered and died.

what the hell could be going on? lol some ppl say its one thing while others say its completely different. ive got anything from spark-plugs, ignition Coil to clutch..

i understand that some1 would have to take a look at it but im looking for if this has happened to anyone before ive already spent 400 on distributor so im strapped just wanna know what the real problem is so i can drive haha

im gonna try n help him drive it home so it will be at home for a day or two, any garage recommendations is accepted lol at this point

any help is much appreciated guys thx

Check to see what the cel is. It could be fuel pressure issue, causing all the sputtering and dying.
Could be many more. Start from cel, work your way up.

put in new NGKi SP and wires, and replaced the O2 sensor n what not all lights off exept srs got mech to clear that but why would the srs light up is it just another DRL that haunts the hondas..
