Default Something is Wrong!!! Helppp :(

Well I got my system hooked up last weekend on Sunday, I listened to it for a bit and drove around that day everything was working fine and then finally I parked my car in the garage as usual before I leave to Waterloo..I come back home 5 days later this past Friday, I try starting my car and its fully dead! So I boost it, drive around for hours!..Come back around 2am Saturday and then wake up around 10am and the car is dead again! Even after being out all of Friday, the car still managed to kill itself Saturday. Not jus that, even on reverse gear, it is making a high pitch noise I dun't know if thats just the snow and my tires skidding but even when im reversing back in motion its making a noise. I don't know what the problem could be, is my battery to old and is it time for me to replace it? Let me know what you guys think! Thanks

First i would check and see if your leaving any lights on...interior, trunk, etc that could be killing it, or maybe your system is draining if its not hooked up properly (im not a audio expert tho). If there is no lights on and stuff then i would assume its the battery, you can take it to crappy tire and they can test it to see.
About reversing...what kind of noise is it? Sometimes in the snow my tires hit the snow or when turning full lock the tires rub the fenderlinder a little. I would say its just snow. Maybe take it to the car wash and spray up in the wheel weels to de-ice them and see if it clears up.

PS: i just noticed you got a new whip, congrats.

My lights aren't on anywhere, my capacitor does shut off eventually after I turn the iginition off so I doubt something is draining while the car is off. If it is the battery then I want to get the yellow top from Nate but he's not answering his phone..
The reversing noise is like a high static noise when I start moving back..

Thanks on the congrats! Wish I got the GS in 5spd would have been better because I had to add the motor locks for the doors and no sunroof But its all good!

Its almost stock (except for ApexI muffler, K&N Filter, Full system including all four speakers, tweetz, sub, pioneer deck & yonaka racing seats) The only pic so far is the one in my Avatar. Will post up pics during March when the snow is gone and my suspension kit goes in along with my rims which are both sitting in my house!

I believe that whine you hear in reverse is normal.

Yeah but isn't that only if you pick up speed while your reversing? I am reversing at 1.5-2rpm for about 5 seconds..

Sounds like your Batt is not holding its charge. Either way check the Alt or Batt. As those would be the culprits!

stuff like what? you don't need a top of a line batt to run your system.

When did you peek in my trunk lol and maybe I don't need that top of the line but I definately do need a good battery. Anyways guys one more fishy sign..my alarm led still blinks when the car doesn't start :s kinda confusing but it doesn't blink when I go back to Markham after 5 days of school in Waterloo..so yeah hopefully its the battery or alt..

the battery isn't holding charge. get a new one. yellow top won't fit under the hood. the static noise might be a bad ground or the Amp remote is too close to the rca's. the alarm LED still blinks because it only needs something like 1.5v to operate. everything else demands more and the battery doesn't have it.

^^+1 for Buff4Prez...LED light takes next to nothing to blink...Static sound- you might just need the system re-wired...if its not comign from the system, if you're talking about the same sound as im thinking of, its normal for a high pitch scream when reversing...I think it might just be your alt...or, if its the case where you're system isn't wired/grounded properly, you might be losing power while the cars jus sitting there...

What do you mean your cap turns off eventually? Eventually being right away, a couple seconds later? or a couple hours later?...perhaps your system is on a permanent on position which is causing the battery to drain?

Ok not only did i get the system dont that sunday(27th) I also got my alarm/starter done. Also when I un-arm the car, I get in there is a high pitch low volume noise coming from somewhere for about 30seconds..I try to start the car it just chugs and then I take the key out and the alarm arms..And the capacitor does turn of after a minute ( I checked sunday that just passed ) So yeah.. hopefully its the battery. Going to get it checked by Dave so hope everything goes well..Thanks guys

why not just unhook the system from the battery for a day or two and you might be able to isolate the problem if its related to the system? the sound might be from the alt if pulley is no longer good, make sure the alt's still good and have a load test done on it.
