Something wrong with clutch
So I've installed a new clutch plate, pilot bearing and release bearing.... big problem though, i know the clutch is lined up but the clutch is stuck.
I can switch gears without even pressing the clutch and when it's in gear and the car is off, it can be moved.
Also note that when my pop was just testing it out the first time, it gripped, went into gear and he was able to reverse.. as soon as he put it into a forward gear and gave it some gas and released some clutch, a loud pop noise sounded and everything went limp. Again, it seems as though the clutch is stuck in the grip position... not from the pedal end but maybe internally. Now, I did torque the pressure plate probably more that I should've but I know it was even all around and I don't think that would cause any problems, the springs all seemed fine.
If anybody has ideas as to what could be going on, please provide some input. I'm going to pull the tranny off again tomorrow to check it out and i'm hoping hoping hoping that nothing major is wrong.

update: with some help from a couple of friends, we were able to determine that it was because of the CV not in the transmission completely. once this shaft was in completely, clutch released and all was good.
at first we were boggled because we took off the slave cylinder and boot, look a look inside the housing with a mirror and flashlight and the release was on. we must've used all of our brain power because while the car was on jack stands after toying with the fork, we popped it into gear and what do you know, the wheels were STILL spinning. wtf. we couldn't figure it out and we were dreading dropping the tranny again with the motor in..... so we figured, it's a big job, we'll leave it for the weekend again (this would be the third weekend the car has been out of service) ... so fine, we put the wheels on and dropped the car back onto the floor and what the hell ?? .....it's fine now... stupid us we forgot that the wheels still turn when it's jacked up!!!
anyways, thanks for all the input u guys provided in this thread and the other "swap gone bad" thread.
side note: stupid me, i should've taken the damn heat shield off when i had a chance... all i did was put a bigger washer on hoping it'll quiet down and it did for the first hour... now it's all noisy again.. dammit....
