snow tires require alignment??

Got my snows on 185/65/14 ...everything is balanced and riding smoothly except the car pulls to the left now.

i took off the wheels thinking maybe the guy mounted them funny, everything looks good. the tires are directional and installed on the correct sides with the arrows pointing in the direction of forward rotation.

wtf mate? why does it pull to the left now?? ...in my 10 years of driving, this is my first time ever with snow tires. is this common?

:burned:

If your snows are a different size than your summers the current alignment might not be right on for your winter ride height. Other than that??? did you hit a pot hole or anything right before or since you put them on?

yeah, my other wheels are 195/55/15 ... i've had 17" wheels before and didn't require an alignment.

The condition of the tires also makes a difference on how your car rides.

Didya check the inflation?

its me.. mario 12-06-2005 10:56 AM

tire inflation pressure is at 35 lbs at all four..

condition of the tires is practically brand new.

What about your summer tires? It's possible you got an alignment on bad tires.

that's very possible. my summer tires are pretty worn ....

that could be it. or when i got my alignment done my car pulled worse i took it back. he checked it agian the allignment was perfect and was off a Bbit before he fixed it. he said it may be that one of the belts could be off even a small fraction of an inch. so he rotated the tires and my allignment was perfect.
