Heya guys,

Since yesterday, when i get out of my car it leaves a scent of a burning smell, kinda of like plastic.

Sometimes i can smell it when i have the vents on and warm hte car aswel (when driving....)

I can't really distinguish where it is exactly comming from, is it possible that it may be my front brakes since the pads are real low and are squeeking and need replacing? or something exhaust related, cats? i dunno...

Anyone have any ideas, or has this occured to you?

I still am covered under warranty, and i guess ill take advantage of it and take it into acura tommorow.

from me experience its usually garbage bag or something plastic that gets caught under your exhaust and its melted so when the exhaust pipes get hot it just gives off that smell, i've had that serveral times b4 i think usually if your car is low.

 

you might have a plastic bag stuck to your cat, it will take like 2 weeks to burn off

 

Ya, come to think of it.. i DID drag something for 3-4 kms yesterday and it was making an awful noise, then it unhooked and stopped.


ALSO, Acura on brant in burlington did a REAL NUMBER on my undercarriage... maybe thats draggin.. ugh!

Ya, its freaky.. its like something is on fire or something, i didnt know whether or not im supposed to get a miniature fire extinguisher?? wife didnt even wanna get back in the car.

Iv put on about 50kms , and its sitll there.. how long it last u luksta?

lol i remember going to a TI meet over a year ago and Crunk'd (a memeber that's MIA) picked one up. and was stuck to his exhaust for like 15 min.....then it let go and got stuck to mine. it was quite funny

 

check out your dizzy. I've been smelling the same thing..then my coil blew. got stuck for 3 hours in the boonies..untill I could get another ignitor n coil.
