Shifting Problems

Hi guys,
I just installed OEm clutch and pressure plate. I've noticed lately that shifting into 2nd gear has been kinda rough. Its strange in a sense that it doesn't always do it. I have to push harder than the other gears to get it in and also feels like its rubbing aganst something, like rubber..

I was thinking that i might has to replace the Bushing? is that what holds the gear stick in place? I can move it left and right a bit when its in gear?

except for me, it happened overnight; everything was smooth one day, and the next day it was all rough, i had a bitch of a time shifting gears, especially from 1st to second

May have to tighten the bolt on the bushing and replace the washers. After replacing my clutch and tranny that bolt was not tightened and eventually fell off on the way home from Niagara. Before that happened it was the same, and even from underneath the car you could see it was loose but I never thought much of it (stupid me:burned: ) . I tightened it the other day with new washers and it helped.

So you can see this from the outside? I thought it might be something in the Tranny.. I was thinking of changing my tranny fluid. But the guy who changed my Clutch should have changed that fluid already... I dunno it doesn't happen all the time, most of the time it goes in 2nd really smooth but sometimes its REALLLY rough.. I was thinking that it might be the bushing... if thats what you call it that holds the stick in its place.

^^ It may be the bushing... check it out. It should be mounted on the outside of the tranny casing just above the CAT.
