Remove headlights on Acura 1.6el
 

I am trying to blackhouse my headlights. I was wondering if anyone knows a easy way to remove the headlights. do i need to remove the front bumper and side fenders?

might have better look on the el forums, there are a coupls guys here with el's that might be able to help. I'm pretty sure you'll have to take off the bumper though.

where are the el forums? I tried searching on google but I cudn find any

Front bumper needs to come off thats all.

From what I remember the grill also has to come off.

i have the 1.6EL, there are a bolt under the bumper where it attaches to the fender, the grill has clips so the grill must come off, then the bumper which has 4 bolts (2 under the car, 1 in each fender) then the bumper support must come off, then the headlight is held on with 3 bolts. 2 on top and 1 near the rad. with the bumper, grill and light bolts done unplug the corner light and headlight and it'll pop out.

for seperating the headlight:
over for 6-8 minutes at 250 with no light bulb. pry it apart carefully with knife or screwdriver. the key to this is to reseal it very well or you will get condensation. any questions pm me or clubel.ca is full of EL advice
