What do you mean your release bearing is loud? The noise goes away when you depress the clutch pedal? Its not necessarily release bearing, could be an input shaft bearing making noise.
The weight of the flywheel would not affect the sound.

The release bearing is normally what will make the noise.

The only thing a lighter flywheel will do if you go with one, it may give you a vibration. Because the crank shaft and flywheel are balanced to match each other.

yea im getting a slight vibration with the new flywheel but its soo small i dont pay any attention to it but i cant figure out this release bearing cuz i just got it changed about 3 weeks ago and the old one didnt make as much noise as this one and yes the noise does go away when i press in the clutch so thats why i know its the bearing so im starting to think maybe the new one was faulty so im going to take it back to the shop
