Rear suspension replacement

I want to replace my rear suspension system, i wanted to do back LCAs first, but someone told me its not a good idea so start with LCAs, so I was wondering where should i start? and when changing your rear sway bar do you need any modifications?

LCA's are a good starting point to go with. But changing them alone won't do all that much. You will need aftermarket LCA's if you want a good sway bar so you can have some adjustments.

What are your plans in a long run? Why not just collect all the parts and install at once. Especially if you are not doing all the work yourself. In that case it seems like a waste to go back to a shop multiple times and pay more than once.

Yea the only good thing you'll get out of buying new lca's is the fact that it will have new bushings...thats about it, even still...the most you'll probably get out of it is just less squeaking if your current bushings are shot.

Do your whole suspension at once, whether that be a whole new strut/spring combo or maybe coilovers, it just makes more sense to add everything in at the same time.

And when changing a rear sway bar....im assuming your upgrading to a Type R sway bar. This is one of those hit and miss kinda things in terms of subframe tear. I've seen enough pics of the ends of the subframe rip right out because it was not braced. And I know people as well who have upgraded sway bars with no problems. So...up to you if you wanna but something like a BWR, ASR, Function 7 subframe brace...i have a BWR one, does make the rear end look nicer as well. Another minor thing as well is with some of the shittier LCA companies and the sway bar holes may not matching up so you'll need adjustable sway bar end links. If you are buying LCA's, get yourself Skunk 2's or Function 7's. Only ones that are properly made in my opinion.
