Question about choosing piston/ring sizes...

Hey guys, As you guys probably know Im gonna be building a fully built B18c1 in my EF hatch. I just wanna know something for when I Bore/Hone the block. The stock size is 81mm but I was recommended that for a fresh clean surface I bore the block another .5mm.

Now my question is I was gonna buy some used pistons: P30 or P73. Now I wouldn't be able to buy used pistons right cause they'd most likely be 81mm so I would need to go to Honda and bring them the exact size and they get or make me the pistons & rings? what do I have to ask for at the dealer? and what are the sizes that the dealer carries and what increments do the sizes go up by? .25mm? .5mm? Does Honda even carry the P30 Pistons cause USDM didnt have B16?

They are gonna rape me on the new pistons thats why I wanted to use used P30's which I can get for $100 but I guess I cant if Im gonna bore the block a bit:bs:

Never buy used pistons. Just dont' do it. It's not worth it in the end unless the person bought the pistons and never installed them.

My JDM ITR pistons with wrist pins costed me about $300 cdn after shipping and taxes.

The rings were another $100 cdn.

The only sizes oem pistons and piston rings come in is 81mm & 81.25mm

You buy 81.25mm pistons, then you buy 81.25mm piston rings as well.

If you want the P30 pistons, your gonna have to order them from a shop like speedstar or aj-racing.

The block is bored a little bigger than the size of the piston to your desired piston to wall clearance. The incorrect way is to try and buy pistons for the bore, as every piston is different and one could be 81.01mm and the next one be 79.98mm. Small variance, but it makes a big deal in the end when your trying to get your piston to wall clearance dead on.

yeah I was gonna buy the pistons and the block then send the block with the pistons to the machine shop for "dead on" clearance

Where did u get your pistons? I wanna get some PCT (CTR) Pistons but dont know where to get them...I searched
Also, u said u got the ITR pistons. That means that the machine shop had to make the connecting rods holes a bit bigger to make them fit right? Is this the same with the CT-R pistons?
Would Prelude Injectors be good enough?
Whats the best place to order from?

EDITED:Found the CT-R's
