punching holes with a camber kit.

how do people end up punching holes into their front shock towers with aftermarket ft camber kits? i know the allen heads holding the ball joint in place on the A arm stick out on most of them (except the sk2 pros). is it because the car is lowered slammed or the springs are too soft or shocks are blown?

It does happen. The top of the arms because they are extended more get very close to the inside of the shock towers. Its because with the longer length and lower car (close to top) you get the dents.

I've had this happen to me with my ingalls camber kit. I dunno why but it just extends out your upper control arm and i guess the lowered height makes it bottom out against the shock tower. I had mines on only one night and i already could see the stress fracture in the shock tower. I think it was the skunk 2's that were the only good one but its like the whole arm you have to get.

Skunk2 can do it as well.

It's usually if your lower that 2.2 inches all the way around and if you try to put your camber back at 0 degree's. Just run like 1.5 if your that low and you'll be fine.

This happens with any camber kit, ingall's or skunk 2 arms/replica's
