Potential Shock/Spring Issue
 

Yesterday I noticed my car was driving differently.

When I slowed to a stop at a red light, my back end (driver side) seemed to dip/drop a bit. When I accelerated, it kicked back up again.

It has been occuring on and off, regardless of the condition of the road I'm driving on.

When I glanced at both sides of my car, I noticed my rear driverside gap between my tire and fender appears to be about 1/4" less than the other side as well. (Could just be due to where I was parked.)

Once the car was off and parked, I also bent down and peeked around my rear, driver side wheel and heard a tapping noise, occuring in 2-3 second intervals. It sounded like my spring was creaking or something. I admit the car was parked on a slope.

Anywho, I have heard when you buy new rims/tires, it can create stress on the shocks/springs.

I am still yet to lower my car and I am now considering buying a shock/spring combo package.

I will be checking the tire pressure during my lunch break today, I would have done it earlier, but I was running late for work.

Any ideas as to what the issue could be, or as to what I should do?

could either be a seized caliper that is dragging and dragging down the back end. Or it could be a blown shock/strut.

If it looks lower when its not supposed to, yea im guessing a blown strut.

There is no reason for rear left corner to go down when coming to a stop. Front goes down, rear goes up. As mentioned check if rear caliper is not seized. Also just push down on every corner and compare how the car goes up. It should return to original position within first swing, if it moves around more or is very easy to push the corner down, you struts need replacing too.

Ceased Caliper FTL!

I was getting it replaced... missed about 5 hours of work.

Luckily my boss is cool, so no worries.

back at work now and in another 80 minutes I'll be heading home.

Dam that sucks, you can get cheap calipers so its not too bad.

BOO-YAH! Damn im good. lol
