I hate to break it to you but nothing can replicate HIDs unless it's HIDs.

I can vouch for that...when Trenell did his retrofit it was a WORLD of difference and he had used the PIAA I believe beforehand

well if I had the money I wouldn't mind going with HID'S but for now.. the solution would to buy the Piaa bulbs that simulate 5000K I don't want it too blue incase I get pulled over by the cops.

You can buy my rebased HID 9006 bulbs..... I don't need them anymore since I did my retrofit.

Philips D2S 4300k, rebased for 9006 applications. Both bulbs have colourshifted and have been rebased amazingly well. I had them in my teg for a year with no flashes or getting pulled over.

On the passenger side is the OEM Audi projector with HID, on the driver side is the Philips retrofit in stock Integra projector.

Again, nothing can simulate HIDs unless it's HIDs. You're wasting your money on bulbs that will have a similar colour to HIDs but the amount of light produced is much less than the stock halogens. But, it's your money to waste, so who am I to say ...

i have the PIAA's (had them for like 3 years now), yes they're not HID, they're very bright and white, but not HID trust me. Cost effective and better than regular bulbs, but if you want the real deal do the retro.

If you wanna stop wasting your money, do a retro. Trust me, nothing will ever come close to HID unless you have HID.

it's not a retrofit.. it's a rebase HID so you don't have to do a retrofit...

PM me..

LoL

sorry dudes, that was a mean joke, its not piaa's its 8k HID's, i let that joke go for too long hehehe
after going about cheap kits for a while (learned the hard and expensive way) i kept blowing the bulbs ? i kept thinking it was my electrical system, but no, i have a friend that is an electrical engineer and popped open all 2 previous kits (one was bought off ebay for like 200, the other was bought locally from a group buy for 400) and he had told me how horrible the construction was, i set out to piece together my own set, so i went about and bought 8k bulbs off ebay (the ones with complete wiring, not just the bulbs was actually pretty cheap at about 200 in total for the rebased bulbs and wiring) and called up osram (sylvanias parent company) and bought their hid balast kits (sourced a set out far north in the T-Dot for a mere 400 + your odds and ends) i've had my hid kit for over a year now without any problems or complaints, i love them, anybody interested in the beam pattern pics i can shwo you, its a world of a difference over piaa's and regular halogen lights, and i can vouch for it

I've checked, The piaa 8k doesn't come in 9006/9005. Only the 6k and the 7500k ones do?

oh well, to each their own i guess.. 8K isn't even comparable to 4300K

this is a JDM OEM HID beam pattern, notice the blanket of light, and no hotspots?

you get what you pay for i guess. if it was me, i would opt for a 4100K-4300K hid kit at the least. an oem retrofit into your stock integra housings will give you the same beam pattern as the picture. take that 8K PIAA simulated HID bulb :P
