Oil Plug Washers
Did a search but yielded nothing.
Besides the dealer, where else can I find the washers for the oil drain plug? Parts Source wanted something stupid for a couple of them. |
I've never actually tried, but you SHOULD be able to get them from a bolt and nut supply type store..
Its just an M14 crush washer after all. |
Stop by a mr. lube, and just ask for a couple. They shouldn't mind; just small inexpensive plastic crush washers.
|
partsource has a wall of nuts and bolts. ive bought the washers from those bins for peanuts
maybe its different out there |
Just get your parts guy to throw one in with every filter you buy.
|
it's not just any old plain washer, it's brass with a rubber center. spend the money and grab them. i did cuz i didn't wanna run the risk of leaks.

I haven't had a problem with them. |
I toss a few onto an order everytime I am ordering parts from some online parts store. I am expecting a delivery of wiper blades and spark plugs on Monday from autopartsway and i tossed on some oil drain plug washers and a spare oil drain plug.

OEM filters FTW. My parts guy throws one in all the time
|
I use NAPA Gold oil filters. I should just ask the guy for some washers then.
|
ive reused the same one for years and i have no leaks
