Need your Opinions on what to do..
 

I have a 95 Integra RS with a B18B1 swap, so basically an LS now lol, and I noticed the Tranny Slipping (Automatic....yes I know..) I do not know when the last time the transmission fluid was changed or with what (just got the car) should I risk changing it? Some people say that the old gunk is what keeps it running and a change could ruin it. I have heard a lot of good things about LubeGard, and I am wondering if I should try that? What do you guys think. I want to do a M/T swap, but that is going to run me up quite a bill that I cannot afford right now I just need this Tranny to last until May 2010 (end of school year) then I will most likely do a M/T swap.

Yes changing it can make it worse if it's really old, but you lucas makes a great auto tranny fluid that you add to the ATF that you are putting in. How many km's are on your car right now?

Car Body has 350 XXX (new engine has 130 000K on it now) I don't think that the tranny was swapped when the engine was done. Also the Tranny dipstick is still red when I pull it out, not very thick though. So I beleive that the Tranny was well maintained.

Then you can try changing it, but all some lucas transmission fix to it as well. Here's a link to the lucas tranny fix.

You could add some, but you will still need to drain some of the old stuff out. If the fluid that's in it is still red and you can still see throw the fluid well on the dip stick, you mite have bigger problems, but trying the Lucas will not hurt, you never know, it just mite fix it untill you do the 5 speed swap.

Anyone have experience with doing a swap or know a good palce to get one done. Not sure if I am up to the challenge....

It's not hard to do, just takes a little bit of time.

Hmm Gonna look it up and memorize the trans section of Haynes loll.

The drain plug is just under the passenger side CV shaft, and then refill it from the dip stick tube.

O yea I know that, thanks though. I was talking about installing/removing manual and auto tranny. Lol but thanks though.
