Need More

Hey guys,

So my 01 GS-R is bone stock. It moves nicely however I want to get some opinion on some bolt on mods that might give me that little extra bit of pop. To my knowledge they do around 15.3-15.5 on the 1/4 mile. I would like to get it down into the high 14's eventually.

I'm looking to do a CAI and exhaust combo to start my project. I'm prolly gonna go with an AEM CAI V2 to start. Not sure what exhaust to go with. I hear 5Zigen is great for Honda, but I want to keep the noise to a minimum. I want something that is deep and rumbly, not ricey like I got a tin can back there. Any suggestions.

I got the Greddy Evo, it rumbles nicely.

apexi WS? ask big hairy gino... he says it looks like stock but is free flowing...

if you want to go fast.. buy an SRT-4.. and then act like a jackass.. like most SRT-4 owners...

I test drove an SRT-4. The car is discustingly fast. It handles OK, but it doesn't feel solid to me. The interior is "okay" and the exterior look like a Neon. They are not going to be reliable. Neon's weren't reliable, I don't see a Neon with boost being any more reliable.

In regards to the exhaust, I guess I'll have to come out to a meet to hear what other GS-R owners have and see what I like best.

Hey guys,

I found an exhaust that fits the criteria I'm looking for. It is the Fujitsubo Power Getter, however the application is listed for a Type R...Would I be able to use this on a GS-R?

to my knowledge, not unless you have a type r header...

someone correct me if im wrong....

Sure it will but wont be a bolt on. A muffler shop should be able to install with little mod.

yeah... that should be doable.

however, there's not gonna be much point power-wise if you're keeping the same header, you'll still have bottleneck there... afaik.
