Default Need Help

I have a 95 integra with koni red coil over sleeve. I need new struts or shocks, not sure which. My wife works for munroe shocks and struts and i basically get 2 shock or strut for free. Any other suggestions or input would be great.

i would recommend koni yellows, but if you can get monroes cheap, i believe they have life time warranty so when they blow out exchange for new ones.

What springs are you running with the koni reds?

How do you know you need new shocks (dampers)?

The munroe dampers will have the oem spec valving and may not be the right match for the springs you are running...

I need new ones, cause there is way to much bounce. The springs are koni reds its a coilover sleeve.

Isn't the shock body threaded? If so, best bet would be to order either the same or koni yellow strut with the same threaded body style.

From what I understand, Koni red dampers are stiffer than stock dampers, but still fairly soft and are meant for use as an simple upgrade for most lowering springs. Also the koni red dampers are typically sold on their own, not as part of a coil-over package.

OP, did you install this suspension? Do you know the spring rates? Has it always had a lot of bounce?

It could just be that those springs are too stiff for those dampers and they could be blown, or they may just not have the correct valving to control the stiffness of those springs... In either case, koni yellows should do the trick. They are a great damper with fairly wide adjustability for the cost. But knowing more about the current setup would help us better evaluate what you really need.

If you have pics of your setup, post em up!
