Will if you have a B18A in your, and you want the GS-R head on it. Your going to need to buy a GS-R/Type R head gasket, GR-S/Type R timing belt, as well as a GS-R/Type R water pump. As for the ECU, your going to need to get a GS-R ECU, and then add a wire from the ECU to the Vtec solenoid, and then also have to tap into the block and head and run a oil feed like to the head so oil gets onto the cams, and so it has proper oil pressure to let the vtec turn on.

I for one would not do it, as it's not worth it really. You looking at around $2000 for everything, and you can get a turbo kit for less then the head and all the parts, but you would be spending a little on labor, but you can run 10 PSI all day and spank any stock ls/vtec out there. you'll be making more HP and TQ from just bolting on a turbo kit.

the ecu from gsr will work but will not work perfect. you need to get a proper tune since there is no such motor as ls-vtec for which you'd have ecu.
for time being you can run the gsr ecu but to get the full potential out of ls-v you will need to get the car tuned.

yea a gsr ecu will ---- on your ls/vtec. its not a the same displacement, even tho there both called a 1.8, like scrid3r said its not a gsr to begin with too. no ls/vtec should be ran with a stock ecu. you can get basemaped ecus for an ls/vtec easily and there decent, but again, everything varies cus they're "custom" engine setups, so relying on a ecu for another motor is not a good idea.

and second, theres no point to put a gsr head on it anyway, if your keeping the block stock. it will have low compression still, around 9.6 i believe?? and also assuming everything else is stock, you may gain like 15hp. not worth it at all. if you doing a solid build, then go for it, but other wise, dont.
