by curiosity.
I installed Koni Red adjustable shocks 1.5'' Drop B&G Springs Urethane bushing kit. now all brand new mind u. when i go over a big bump is it allowed to sound like its bottoming out on the shocks..like its just a thud..is it due to it being lowered..that it amplifies the sound of going over bumps in the road. and is it allowed to sqeak when its new..if i apply pressure. like I assembled them..Exactly like your supposed to. and same with install. curious to see if somethings wrong here. Im guessing the noise like creaking..is just the springs n shocks settling? |
no its not suppose to sound like its bottoming out, your setup is pretty top end parts its should feel so soft maybe even better than stock.
bushings or ball joints for sure....mine started creaking when i lowered my car and i figured it was just bushings....i found out it was a siezed ball joint after it snapped. they took a beating after having to seperate them twice with a fork seperater...once for axles and once for lowering it.
found out its a 300$ bushing...so meh ---- it...not going to worry about it...mostly i just assembled the kit wrong..its on now properly..n lookin great!

ok I've got a problem. Any help with this one would be great!! i lowered the car. and 3 of the sides are perfect! the rear passenger just wont drop to height. an when it does it doesnt last. I'll hit a bump n hear * CLUNK CLUNK* like the shock is jumping around or something. Any idea's as to why its not working right or what that clunk might be?
could be siezed up, pull the shock off and see if you can compress it by leaning on it with out the spring on
they are brand new..and already done that it works fine. if that center nut isnt tightened all the way down..that would prob cause loud clunking eh! im thinkin that might be it..but i cant get a wrench on it... cuz of the interior panels..but think that could be it?
^are you a idiot? of course thats the problem. do us a favour and put the tools down
how can't you get a wrench on it? what kind or wrenches are you using? you shouldn't have to much of a problem getting a wrench to the rear struts...i've never heard that problem before....i can get to mine with an air ratchet
can u please post a picture of yourself?
^^^^^^^^
well that didnt do ----! even tighter..still clunks!
Alright! the clunking was the shock bolts..------ stripped brand new ------- bolts    ERG! POS! HONDA! anyways! if the stiffness of one shock is stiffer then another. will that make a differance in height?
found the problem! ------- shock is blown! koni has warrentee on this ---- right?
