lil problem, need opinion ,thnx
Hey guys just needed a little help . when I accelerate it feels like my front end shakes quite a bit. Changed my tie rods yesterday, and still continues to shake .what could it be ? Thnx

Ball joints axles check your whole suspension. Get it up off the ground and wiggle everything around as well maybe you can hear a problem. But if it only happens during acceleration, then examine those axles and maybe check how the motor mounts look like maybe that is causing some shaking.

Its almost like a side to side shaking , checked wheels for any play , after replacing the tie rods , and there is no play in any of the wheels. Also the shaking happens mostly over 3500rpm

My guess is one or both of your axles has a bad CV joint.
If that is the case, you should get it fixed very soon. |
How you check if CV joint is no good ? There not knocking and no tears in boot. Does not shake if holding a steady speed. Mostly happens when accelerating after 70km/h. Going to do alignment tomorrow , its a lil off since we did tie rods
|
Accelerating after 70kph eh...
What kind of tires do you have and how many km's are on them? The may be feathered or cupping (basically uneven ware that causes vibrations that can't be eliminated by balancing)... This generally has more of an effect at higher speeds.... Just another posibility. Bad CV joints are usually noticable at slower speeds and while turning at slow speeds... |
Hey guys just wanted to say u were right, kinda found out the hard way . The drive shaft split from the splines and now it won't move lol

For the DA witch side is the short axle ?
