7grand, waste of money. Id say go h22 for best bang for the buck

At least $7g's... $3000-4000 for a K20A2 or $5000 for a K20A (ITR)

Mounts will run almost $1000, harness is like $400-500, and then tons of custom work and misc. Honda parts to get that thing to fit.

Remember, the engine sits the opposite way around so more than likely you'll disregard power steering and a/c after the swap. Radiator inlet is on the other side, tranny is cable so the shifter assembly has to be mounted into the floor. You'll need to get proper drive shafts... I think 94-01's work, but are prone to breaking because of the way they sit. Then you'll need to modify your exhaust and you'd probably want to pick up the custom HASport Header ($400 USD).

Then you get into the issue of the chip in the key... you'll need to either bring it to Honda to program, find a Honda hacker, or go get a K-Pro ($1000 USD).

And then labour... most shops charge around $1500 for an H-series, so expect even more for a K. You could try yourself, but you gotta know your stuff.

It's endless... you'd better have a deep pocket to get the project up and running properly.

If you want something quick and don't like any B-Series... go H, it's a bitch in some ways too, but it's still easier

If you've got the deep pockets, I say go for it. The N/A potential of the K motors is so far beyond any B or H series motor....

That motor and tranny are crap. Save your money and put in a B18C5. Next to the NSX motor it is the best racing motor Honda ever built. The ITR tranny is also stronger, has LSD and short gears.

Is K20 swaps the new trend or something? Ghey.

You have got to be kidding me. K-series motors are better than the b-series. Yes the tranny is garbage, but only on the type-s model. The base models and jdm tranny are fine.

There's a reason why companies like AJ Racing are switching to K-series motors. Now if it's worth it or not, that's up to the person if he is willing to spend that much money to do it.

Naw man. I'm not kidding here. Everyone is entitiled to an opinion, but damn. I think the K20 is garbage and the only reason people are doing them is cause they go for dirt cheap for a complete set-up on the street. I know enough performance driven people that would never in their life do a K20 swap. They all build a C1 or C5 or even a B16.

Like I said, it's all opinion. You like em, great. :)

I was tempted to do this swap myself a month ago. I had calculated around 7k+ closer to 8-9K. You can still keep your AC and PS.

Your entitled... yes... but you are technically wrong. The K series motor is superior to the B series... that is just a plan fact.
