Default K&n

ok i finally made my mind and bought a K&N filter and did a drop-in filter. i removed my stock air filter and box and put a K&N filter in stock filter's space. the arm or tube is still stock (that black plastic tube) i didn't bother buying the K&N or AEM pipe. anyways, now it sounds great, its not annoying and continous sound. i am happy with it. but i noticed whenever i turned on the engine the maintenance required light would flash 3 times and then dissappear so i pressed and hold the switch under the dashboard for about 5 secs then it stopped flashing upon turning on engine. so i guess thats gone now. as u guys can say, this is my first ever car mod. i never had an air intake mod before. ok when i am driving in streets or in highway doesn't matter where i drive or how i drive the Temperature guage stays at "C" but soon as i stop somewhere and let the engine idle, then the temperatue guage moves to middle between "C" and "H" which is good. and my question is does it stay at "C" while driving. and yes the car warms up properly. i couldn't find any answer else where thats why i thought about asking u guys.
thanks

well take 30$ and 30 mins of your time replace it then top up and bleed then if you still have a problem ask questions. And the reason its doing it while your driving is because your circulating the water pump moving more coolent through your stuck open thermostat and through your rad and back through the motor the car is over cooling if you want to think of it that way which is bad for the oil and causes more blow-by.When your at idle rpm the water pump isnt moving the coolent through the full cycle as fast so some may have time to actaully stay in the engine and heat up a bit for once wich is why your guage is fluctuating.

Good choice on the drop-in K&N, they arent cheap but you're buying quality. If you like the sound now, try it with the resonator removed, WHOLE 'nother ballgame!

Its quiet as a mouse when cruising, but just wait 'till you step on it!

Yeah, I don't get that. I'm pretty sure Fieldzy's car is louder than mine just with the top of the airbox off, pre VTEC anyway.
