jdm front end installation

hey guy i'm planing on doing the jdm front end conversion but the question i had was that did you guys install the rad support at home or is it better to get it done by a body shop. and is it hard to do it ur self. i tried researching but no luck

thanks

I vote body shop... if you're going to get the entire front end colour matched, it'll be an extra $250ish to get the rad support welded on.

My front end lined up perfectly and the rad support looked completely stock after it was all sprayed.

i did the front end conversion with a friend of mine earlier this summer. it wasn't that hard at all, very time consuming though. fitment is near perfect as well.

i have pics floating around here on the board.. do a search, you should be able to find them.

Oops, I didn't realize I was logged in as fu00fu... haha

Anyways, mine was done at Velocity Autobody in Markham... I think they've done a good 30-40 front ends in the past couple years.

Here are pics of my old car:

Me Personaly......I just did the entire conversion, took me a weekend. I'd be more then happy to fill in any blanks!
...My 2 Cents.....Do it your self!

^ BAHAHAHAHAHA

And judging from this post and a bunch of 98+ fronts and 94 fronts in the commerce section, its safe to say that yes, JDM Fronts are not played.
