Intake/Breather installation on a dc
1 Attachment(s)
i picked an aftermarket intake and it only had one output valve on the hose. but i wanted to add a breather on it as well.
so this is what i did. 1. cut out the little tube supplied with the intake kit to connect t the motor into 2. 2. picked up a 3-way splitter from home depot and a 4 small clamps 3. connected one of the 2 cut tubes (from step 1) to the motor and the other to the intake hose 4. connected the 3-way splitter in between both tubes 5. connected the breather on the other end of the splitter * have clamps on all connecting points. * i have attached a paint drawing for better understanding, if i haven't explained this properly (hey, i ain't an artist...) is this something that would be ok? or would this hinder anything? what sort of a difference should i see with just an intake installed and a breather attached to it? |
It will be fine, but what was the point of doing all this? Makes no difference in power or fuel consumption. It just makes the car illeagal to be on the road.
Srr but its pointless. |
are you serious??? how's it illegal or why?

but i'll say again why, it makes it into an open system=illegal there wont be any gains.... just gets you a nice ticket if you get found out. i would advise removing it and just leaving the intake the way it was supposed to be |
