Installing Halo Projectors
 

Hey everyone

I've been looking into buying halos for my Integra and I was wondering what kind of procedure is there for installing them. I get the idea of taking off the bumper and remove the old headlight housing but I have also heard of additional wiring involved? If I can just get some input from someone who has installed them I'd like to make it a DIY project.

Are you getting whole new headlights? Or is it just the halos that your putting in?

There should be a little bit more wire as there are more light sources going to the headlight. But I would assume that the wiring would be part of the headlight harness and should work, simple plug and play. The halos don't take much juice to use so can't imagine to much wiring to make it work. I would say 90% that it's a simple plug and play.

The whole headlight is plug and play, only thing that isn't is the halo rings.

What I did when wired halos was tap into the parking lights, not the best way to do it since you are using up more power of a line that didn't intend to drain the extra voltage. Thus best way is to wire in a relay and give it direct power from the battery, and relay should be spliced to either parking light or full on light, depending on when you want your halos to go on.

Yes I wanna swap out my OEM headlights for the Halo headlight assembly. The plug and play sounds good to me. How would I wire it to the relay? simply run a wire to the relay prong and then to ground?

Hm k well you will need some wire, fuse with a holder and a relay that you can pick up pretty much anywhere (ctire sells em, source etc...)

What you do is feed a line off the battery into a fuse 15A should be just fine. That will go to relay port 30. Then you feed a wire from port 87 to the angle eye connections. Now...port 85 is the trigger wire which will cause the power to go through the relay, so..you can splice into a parking lights or whatever you choose to, but when this is on, your angle eyes will go on. And port 86 is ground.

Many relays have 87A port which is not used, so depending on if you get a 4 or 5 port relay, it may or may not have and extra one. Sounds weird but most relays are labelled so when you get one, you'll see exact same numbers.
