Ignition Control Module Location

I have a 1992 integra with a B20B motor, the ignition control module is out and i need to replace it, where would i find this module?

is it located in the ignition distributor?

thank you.

yep it is, it's about a inch long and has about 5 terminals with wires comming off of it and is usually an off whitish yellow colour and has the letters NEC in the plastic.

Im looking for a Ignition distributor, or a ignition control module, do you know where i can find this replacement for cheap? i looked at a honda dealer they charge about 600 for the distributor and 300 for just the module, but its not worth it.

scrap yard but your icm has to be from a b series distributor i ran b18c off a b16 a icm or post in the wanted section forum someone might have one or you can grab a whole distributor off someone its a little more common to come across but you cant use anything but the b20 distributor on that b20 others wont line up.

well i bought my b20b on an acura, and im assuming the year of the engine is from a 96-98 CR-V, do you think a TD97 Distrbutor would fit?

i noticed there are two differnt models of distributors, but im not sure which is the one i need, there is the

TD97 and the TD74

endless Feb 9, 2009 01:22 PM

i mite be a TD84

the slots that hook into the intake cam, and the position of the arms that you put the bolts throgh into the head is what wont fit so you if you can find one a compare it to yours first. I dont think its a 84 and it could be either of the first two.

you can buy the ICM at any parts store. no need to replace the distributor

thanks black ac GSR i appreciate the help, the problem has been resolved, and it was actually a TD 55 distributor, which is the 92 integra distributor.

i found out that it didnt need a crv distributor even tho im using the b20.
