Help with window! I F*#@ked up!

on the passenger side window the rubber had come off the window and was lying at the bottom. when i was cleaning the car i took it out and put it on my mat on the passenger side so that way i could get some adhesive and put it back on. a week later on sunday i cleaned my car from the inside and i put the rubber piece on the ground of my garage. i forgot to put it back in the car. my dad thought it was junk so he threw it in the garbage which was collected on monday. now i am screwed. i hate the rattle noise it makes when the door closes. is there any cheap alternative i can use to put on the window so that way it does not rattle any more? any help is appreciated!!!

thanks

for now to stop the rattle just put some wedges of wood between the window and the door panel, it may look ugly but it works!

The rubber piece comes off a metal track so the window's not actually bumping into the door panel, it's rattling against the vertical metal track when the window in down.

You definintely need to replace it with an OEM or similar piece, it's not worth the time and effort to fabricate one, plus it'll be quite difficult.

I just fixed mine last weekend, takes less than 30 mins. :yeah:

when i call acura...what the hell do i ask for? that OEM rubber thingy that doesnt make the window rattle. lol like what should i say to them so i dont sound like an idiot and waste time.

It's called weatherstripping for the glass guide.

ok i have not yet gotten the piece but i will tomorrow. i need to know what adhesive to use to keep it in place??? anyone have an idea???

also my other window which does not rattle when the window is entirely down but does with it is like 1/4 way down. it is even ok half way down or 3/4 way down. could it be the same thing that the rubber piece is coming off?
