alright im having this messed up sound coming from my car and i pretty much have an idea what it can be. it's been happing for about 2 months now and i'v searched everywhere and asked a bunch of friends what it can be, so i found out that my brake dust shield is bent and rubbing on somthing most likly my rotor? my question is that how hard are they to change? i no the rotor and caliper has to come off but one of my buddies was telling me somthing about the wheel baring and hub??? if somone can help me out that would be great thanks.

bro just bend it back if you know that your shield is rubbing against the rotor... worst comes to worst if your shield is rotted out just rip it out... when i s saw how rotted my shield was at the front because i did my wheel bearing i just took it out... it depends which location the shield your talking about, front or rear??? for what i can remember the front when i did mine the bearing has to come of so you can unscrew the shield(3 screws i believe) that means the spindle has to come of.... rear is easier just take of the wheel and look at the back and you'll find that its a 10m socket... most likely.. let me know...
