Hello all,

I am in the process of going back to my stock LED wing, from my ITR wing. My problem is that when I was removing the nuts from the LED wing, 3 out of the 4 bolts snapped.

Is there any way that this can be fixed? Will I have to drill the broken bolts out? Does anyone have a rough idea of how much this would cost?

Where are the bolts stuck onto... Because the wing itself has the bolt and the nut is on the inside panel so what are the bolts/nuts stuck on... It seems really odd to me I can't imagine what they are stuck on. Even if they did snap they should still pop out.

 

Three out of the four bolts sticking out of the bottom of the wing are broken. I'm pretty sure that it will have to be drilled out. I'm just wondering how much it will cost to fix.

 

I'm not sure how much they cost, but you could probably drill them out and get a helicoil and re-thread your own holes. Only suggestion I really have for you, and even then I don't know how well helicoil's work or how much they cost as I've never used one.. but if you try it let us know how it goes lol.

 

Drilling is pretty easy, i dont think anyone would charge u more then like 20 bucks. if im not busy today ( which i prolly wont be 2nite) you can pay me like 10 bucks and ill drill like right out for you lol

 

Maybe just buy a new wing they go for like 20.... Just a thought.

I believe I have my stock GS wing with 3rd led brake light I can sell you for $20. The light works and I'm pretty sure all 4 bolts are intact.

I happen to have that exact wing in that exact colour! It's in good condition too, came off my Integra. It's in the same colour, with no rust or damage save for a couple scratches.
