HELP!! car shaking/wheel shaking problem
 

Hey guys, this all started today on the highway, out of no where my car starts shaking. first i thought maybe its because the highway was in bad conditon but it wasn't stopping. i figured it might be a flat tired but i stopped and nothing wrong. then the shaking stopped. on the way home from work it started again. felt like your tireds were blown. the whole car is shaking my steering wheel is shaking to the left. this goes for like 4 5 mins then stops and after a little more it acts up again. i looked under the car and everything seems fine...anyone had problems like this. or knows what the heck is wrong?

is it ok if i squezze another trip to work with them...are you sure?? how much did it cost you? what i'm i looking at to fix..

I wouldn't. it could cause more damage and cost you more money. rebuilt CV shafts are in the $100 range. you should check to see if your wheels are balanced too. if none of those 2 things fix the problem, look into the wheel bearing as the source.

Driveshafts, ball joints?, wheel balance

1st thing I would do asap is check if the wheel nuts are on properly - you never know.

dunno about ball joints though....are you hearing weird noises

i'm not hearing any noise..today driving home nothig happen until...it think it's happening after i make a turn then the saking starts but after i straighten out a little then it stops. but yesterday the shaking was alot alot more then today...this is weird...

axles

i took it to the machanic and he looked all around but didn't see anything usual then he tried balance and swtiching the rims and said give this a try and if it doesn't help then it must be the drive shaft. but i says thats is very un commom for that to go....?? i really don't want to fix something that i don't have too....he quoted me 300 for 2 new drive shafts installed...what do you guys think
