has anyone expericenced the same weird speed reading?

today I drive my teg on hwy 404 from Newmarket to Toronto....I was driving like around 140km/hr all the way until I noticed there's something wrong on the speed meter......the needle drop from 140km/hr to 80km/hr suddenly and back to 140km/hr in 1 sec....and the needle keep moving up and down unstably. The car didn't slowdown or speedup at that time....it just run well in constant speed........
After i slow down the car to around 100 km/hr, the speed meter then back to normal

i took the video from my cell phone see if anyone has any idea...?
click on the link to see it ---> mov00002.3gp

P.S. I've change the GSR cluster

Do the Gen3's use a cable?
if so check both ends to see if there pushed in all the way?
or you need a replacement?

i had the same problem when i put in the JDM gsr cluster i tightend the screws in the back which holds the gauges and it was fine then. but i dunno it might not be the same thing. give that a try it might help

honda has always had problems with clusters in the tegs and civics.

you either live with it or change it.

Maybe a problem with the VSS - speed sensor.

the question is....did u have the same problem before u changed ur cluster or only after? y not try swapin clusters to see if the prob is still there...only takes 5 mins to swap clusters...

there is a bouncing speedo cable fix on g2ic.com under the teg tips hope this helps if they are the same type
