im thinkin of buyin a gsr with ctr internals and full skunk 2 valve train, heres the deal its runs weird feels like its missfiring and not runing properly and back fires , also doesnt want to start when its cold and the idle goes up and down a lilttle bit , im gonna be doing a compression test on it later on today , what do u guys think it could be ?

 

could be a million things.

Could be the tune (or lack thereof), could be the spark plugs or plug wires, could be the o2 sensor, could be the ignition timing (too far advanced/retarded), etc etc etc.

Yea, a compression test will get you some good information, but I might also be nothing to do with compression. Like zman said, there really are a zillion things it could be.

 

i did a compresion check 250psi across all cylinders i bought the car , it was runing on 3 cylinders due to a faulty plug wire i changed it now it runs on all 4 but still feeels weird and idle a little lumpy and sometime stalls out , and for some reason its runing a PR3 ecu

 

nice so its still obd0 and most likely UNTUNED.
